✅ What You’ll Need:

• Your MySOS ID Badge device
• The lanyard (with a thin loop, main strap, and built-in ripcord safety feature)
• A pin, paperclip, or tweezers (optional, for easier threading).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Turn Off the Device
   It’s easier to attach the lanyard when the device is powered off.
2. Identify the Two Attachment Points
   Your device has three lanyard holes— select two to attach the lanyard to.
   • If the LED screen and SOS button are facing you, the ripcord pin is on the top left.
   • The other lanyard holes are on the bottom left and top right.
   • Using the bottom left hole and ripcord pin will hang the device vertically.
   • Using the top right hole and ripcord pin will hang the device horizontally.
     Devices with Fall Detection must be worn horizontally. 
     
3. Insert the Thin Loop
   Push the thin loop end of the lanyard through the chosen hole.
4. Pull the Loop Through
   Once the loop is halfway through, grab it from the other side and pull it out fully.
5. Thread the Main Strap
   Take the thicker part of the lanyard and pass it through the loop.
6. Pull Tight to Secure
   Gently pull the main strap until the loop tightens and the lanyard is securely attached
7. Disconnect the Lanyard 
   The lanyard has multiple break points.
   Remove one of the connectors to separate it into two pieces.
8. (Optional) Remove the Ripcord Pin
   To make threading easier, you can remove the ripcord pin from its side.
   This allows you to attach the loop without the device in the way.
9. Repeat steps 4-7
   Taking the lanyard section that is not already connected to the device, repeat the steps above to thread the loop through and secure it.
10. .Reinsert the Ripcord Pin
    If you removed the ripcord pin earlier, reinsert it into its original side.
    Make sure it’s firmly in place and test the ripcord to ensure it detaches when pulled firmly

Tips:

• Use a pin or tweezers if the hole is small or hard to reach.
• Ask a Colleague for Help - Threading the loop can be easier for those with smaller or more dexterous hands. A second pair of hands might make the process quicker and less fiddly.
