For security and efficiency, Peoplesafe requires your phone number (Caller ID) to be displayed when you call us.
If your phone number appears as "Withheld," "Private," or "Anonymous" to our Call Handler, it prevents our system from automatically displaying your profile. This means we cannot immediately verify your identity and access your critical details, which can delay the support process, especially in an emergency.
The Problem
Many organisations require their employees to withhold their phone numbers when making calls to external parties (such as patients or clients) to protect personal privacy.
If your phone is configured in this way, that setting maybe be applied to all outgoing calls, including those made to Peoplesafe.
Action: Consult Your IT Department
Due to the nature of corporate mobile devices (especially Android phones managed by the organisation), the setting that controls whether your number is displayed or withheld may be locked or managed remotely by your employer's IT Department or through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.
Explain that you need your device configured so that your number is not withheld when you call the Peoplesafe phone numbers.
Your IT department will need to implement a solution that either:
Overrides the default withholding setting for calls made to our specific numbers.
Provides you with a mechanism to temporarily show your number for the call.
Until this is resolved by your IT department, please be prepared to provide our Call Handler with your full name and registered phone number manually at the beginning of every call.
