How to Compose a Message

This article guides you through the process of creating and composing a Team Broadcast notification in Nexus.

  1. Navigate to Team Broadcast: Login to Nexus, go to the Team Broadcast page.
  2. Create New Notification: Click on the Create button.
  3. Select Recipients: Choose who should receive your message. You have several options:
    • All Users: To send to every user with a Peoplesafe Pro or SOS subscription.
    • Teams: To send to one or more predefined teams.
    • Groups of Teams: To send to entire groups of teams.
    • Specific People: To select individual users from a list.
  4. Compose Your Message: You will need to complete the following fields:
    • Title (Required): Enter a clear and concise title for your notification. This is what users will see in the initial push notification. Keep it brief and informative.
    • Summary (Required): Provide a short summary of the main point of your message. This will also be visible in the push notification. Aim for a single, impactful sentence.
    • Details (Required): Enter the full content of your message here. This detailed information will be visible when the user opens the notification within the Peoplesafe app. Provide all necessary context and instructions.
  5. Set Priority: Choose the appropriate priority level:
    • Normal: The notification will respect the user's device notification settings.
    • Critical: This setting will override "Do Not Disturb" modes on users' phones to ensure immediate delivery. Use this option only for urgent, safety-critical information.

Once you have filled in all the necessary information and selected your recipients, you will have the option to either save the message as a draft or send it immediately.
