What happens to my Timer after a Welfare Check?

This article outlines the different scenarios that may occur following a Welfare Check received into the Peoplesafe Pro App.

1. Successful Response (Tap "Yes")

  • Action: When you respond "Yes" to a Welfare Check, the system records your response.

  • Outcome: * The current Welfare Check is completed.

    • Your Activity Timer continues to run, and your next Welfare Check will arrive at the scheduled interval.

2. Unsuccessful Response (Tap "No")

  • Action: If you respond "No" to a Welfare Check, it indicates a potential emergency.

  • Outcome:

    • A "Duress Alarm" is automatically created.

    • Once the emergency is addressed, the "Duress Alarm" is closed.

    • Your Activity Timer continues to run, and your next Welfare Check will arrive at the scheduled interval.

3. No Response

  • Action: You fail to respond to the Welfare Check within 5 minutes of receiving the notification.

  • Outcome:

    • The App will receive an overrun notification for a missed check.

    • A lack of response will trigger automated calls before an alarm is raised.

      • A call will be made after 5 minutes.

      • If unanswered, another call will be made after a further 5 minutes.

      • If these attempts are unsuccessful, a "Welfare Check Failed Alarm" is created.

    • Once the situation is resolved, the "Welfare Check Failed Alarm" is closed.

    • Your Activity Timer continues to run, and your next Welfare Check will arrive at the scheduled interval.
