How can I test the eSIM is working?

After installing and enabling data roaming, it's crucial to test your Roamsafe eSIM to ensure it's functioning correctly as a backup. While your primary SIM is active, your phone won't use the eSIM for general use. Here's how to test it:

  1. Disable your primary SIM: Go to your phone's Settings and find the SIM card management section (usually under "Network & internet" or "Mobile Service"). Temporarily disable your primary SIM. This will force your phone to connect using the Roamsafe eSIM.

  2. Disable Wi-Fi: Temporarily turn off Wi-Fi on your phone. This ensures that the test uses the cellular data connection provided by the eSIM.

  3. Test the Peoplesafe app's data connection: Open the Peoplesafe app. Perform a "Check In/Out" or send a "Manual Position" update. A successful confirmation indicates a working data connection through the eSIM.

  4. Test voice calls: Make a test call to the designated Voice Memo line provided by Peoplesafe. A successful call confirms that the eSIM's voice functionality is working.

  5. Re-enable your primary SIM and Wi-Fi: Once you've confirmed that the eSIM is working, go back to your phone's settings and re-enable your primary SIM and Wi-Fi connection.

These tests will confirm that your eSIM is correctly installed and ready to serve as a backup for your Peoplesafe services.
