Question: How does Roamsafe work?
Answer: Roamsafe connects to all four major UK mobile networks (EE, 3, Vodafone, and O2). Your phone automatically switches to the Roamsafe connection when your primary SIM loses signal, providing seamless access to Peoplesafe.
Question: Which phones support the Roamsafe eSIM?
Answer: Most newer iPhones and many Android devices support eSIMs. Check your phone's specifications or look for an option to "Add Cellular Plan" in your phone's cellular settings. Contact Peoplesafe if you're unsure about your device's compatibility.
Qestion: Can I use Roamsafe for general calls and data?
Answer: No. Roamsafe is designed exclusively for Peoplesafe services. It will only activate when your primary SIM loses signal and only for calls to Peoplesafe and use of the Peoplesafe app.
Question: How do I test my Roamsafe connection?
Answer: Temporarily disable your primary SIM and Wi-Fi, then test the Peoplesafe app and make a test call to the designated Voice Memo line. Remember to re-enable your primary SIM and Wi-Fi after testing.
Question: What if I have trouble connecting to Roamsafe?
Answer: If you're having trouble connecting to Roamsafe, there are a couple of key settings to check. Data roaming needs to be enabled to allow your Roamsafe connection to switch between different mobile networks. For eSIMs, the APN (Access Point Name) setting tells your phone how to connect to the Roamsafe network. It must be set to internet
(all lowercase).
Question: What if my company's MDM is blocking eSIM installation?
Answer: Contact your company's IT department. They manage your device and can help with any restrictions they have put in place. Peoplesafe support cannot bypass your company's MDM.
Question: I've lost my email with the QR code, where do I find a copy?
Answer: Nexus has a copy of the QR code, nagivate to the persons profile and select the Roamsafe eSIM under Phones and Devices, then expand the Installation Details panel.
Question: When using Travelsafe, why does the map not appear?
Answer: When using Travelsafe while roaming across multiple networks, map images may not be available. You can still search for destinations, choose your travel method, and get a calculated journey time.
Question: Is there anyway to check if a user has installed their eSIM?
Answer:Yes, the Nexus portal provides a way to check if a user has installed their eSIM. The status will be displayed as "Activated" if the eSIM is installed and "Deactivated" if it's uninstalled.
Question: Can I reassign an eSIM to a different person?
Answer: Yes, after an eSIM has been deleted from a persons phone it can be assigned to a new user.
