Easily allocate devices to specific teams, giving you more control and flexibility managing your devices.
Both Managers & Admins can allocate, reallocate or deallocate devices in Nexus. All changes will be logged on the devices audit history.
Key Benefits:
- Asset Management: A simple view of where devices are physically located for obtaining payment from specific teams or requesting devices to be reallocated internally.
- Prevent Device misuse: Devices are less likely to be assigned incorrectly if Managers can only see devices allocated to their specific team.
- Simple Reporting: Once devices are allocated to specific teams, you can use the Devices & phones report to show how many physical devices, regardless of assignment to a user, are held by that team.
How does this impact device visibility?
- Manager Visibility: Managers will only be able to view devices allocated to their team and any unallocated & unassigned devices in your account on Nexus.
- Administrator Visibility: Administrators will still view all devices and can now view their allocation to specific teams.
How to allocate devices to teams:
- Open Nexus
- Open phones & devices on the menu then select the devices page
- Under Allocation select ‘Unallocated’
- A drop-down box will appear, choose a team of the list.
- Select the add + button.
How to change a device’s team allocation:
- Open Nexus
- Open phones & devices on the menu then select the devices page
- Search for or identify the device in the list
- Select the device serial number to open the Device Details page
- Under the Device summary, find Team allocation
- Select Change
- A drop-down box will appear, select a team from the list.
- Select the tick button.
